Fujitsu has partnered with Willcom to develop a security solution that enables the user to remotely delete the data in case of a lost or stolen notebook. However, one caveat this security solution has is that the laptop needs to be in Willcom’s PHS coverage area.

Fujitsu plans to integrate the custom made module along with encrypted HDDs into laptops by Q4 2009 making it very difficult for the thief to retrieve data.

The security solution will be showcased at the upcoming Fujistu Forum 2009 which starts from May 14.
