ZTE and Digicel announce Coral 200 solar powered phone

Caribbean cellular operator, Digicel along with ZTE have announced Coral-200-Solar which will be the first ultra low cost handset powered by solar energy. Of course, this phone doesn’t have features to boast like Samsung or LG’s solar prototype but Digicel says the low cost can prove beneficial to almost two billion people who are deprived of electricity. The phone will be released in selected markets from June.

I have been promoting a solor charger for mobil phones for a while, but this tops it by far, build in solar charger, welcome to the future! Thanks
