NTT DOCOMO is now offering its consumers in Japan, the world’s first waterproof phone with fingerprint sensor. The phone called as F-01A is created by Fujitsu and packs a decent amount of features. It has TouchStone fingerprint technology and TrueNav for touchpad-like navigational control, both sourced from AuthenTec.
Other features the clamshell boasts are a swiveling 3.5-inch WVGA touchscreen display, 5.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, GPS, e-Wallet, 1Seg TV Tuner and runs on Symbian platform.
F-01A’s waterproof capabilities adhere to IPX5 and IPX7 specifications that makes it capable of being submerged in one meter of water for up to 30 minutes.
The phone will sold in Japan under DOCOMO’s PRIME series.
