Rumor about the $99 iPhone wasn’t fully wrong. Customers will now be able to snag an 8GB iPhone 3G for just $99. However, the catch here is that the phone will be refurbished and will be locked to AT&T. The refurbished 16GB iPhone (White & Black) will sell for $199.

If the refurbished tag doesn’t dampen your excitement, then you should get one by tomorrow because we don’t expect the devices to sit on the shelf for too long.
