After the leaked announcement yesterday, Nokia has officially announced N79 and N85 phones at a virtual event. N79 will begin shipping from October 2008 at a price of EUR 350 (USD 511) before tax. Other things we didn’t knew was the support of Xpress-on covers and a special Friendster widget for N79 users via the Widsets service.

The N85 will also be available from October this year at a list price of EUR 450 (USD 657) plus taxes and subsidies. N-Gage support is on both the devices with 10 games pre-loaded. N85 users, however, will get a special voucher to activate any of the one game to full version.
