Lenovo India has decided to join the handheld gaming devices fray with the launch of Legion Go. The device goes against the likes of Asus ROG Ally and MSI Claw with its powerful hardware and better battery life.
Running Windows 11, the Legion Go is powered by AMD’s Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor and AMD RDNA graphics and up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM (7500Mhz) and 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD. The device also features a microSD card slot that supports storage expansion of an additional 2TB.
To keep its temperature in check, it comes with Legion Coldfront Technology which in conjunction of a 79-blade liquid crystal polymer fan and software optimisation, prevents performance throttling and quiet operation during lesser intensive gaming tasks.
The display supports adjustable resolution, peak brightness of 500 nits whereas the 49.2Wh battery can be charged to up to 70% in only 30 minutes with the Super Rapid Charge technology. Interestingly, the Legion Go comes with a power bypass mode that powers the device directly without impacting the battery life. Lenovo has also worked on the detachable controller to eliminate drifting and improve responsiveness.
The Lenovo Legion Go will go on sale from July 1 on Flipkart and Lenovo stores at Rs. 89,990 and will be bundled with 3-months access to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
