Mi Mix 2S

As teased a month ago, Xiaomi has announced their almost bezel-free Mi Mix 2S. The Mi Mix 2S features the same chin on the front with the integrated front-facing camera with the back sporting ceramic along with curves at the sides.

Hardware-wise, the Mi Mix 2S features high-end hardware like Snapdragon 845 chip, 6GB or 8GB RAM as well as internal storage option ranging from 64GB and going up to 256GB.

The phone banks on AI features like AI voice assistant with over 100 commands to control the device and support for Google’s ARCore for augmented reality applications.

Mi MIX 2S features two cameras at the back. First is the 12MP Sony IMX363 flagship sensor with 1.4um pixels that takes better pictures in low-light and the 12MP Samsung sensor for telephoto and 2X zoom.

The main camera also supports Dual Pixel technology that allows faster focusing and AI scene detection.

Rounding up the feature set are 5.99-inch 18:9 FHD+ display, 43 global bands (8GB+256GB model only), MIUI 9 running on Android Oreo, 3400mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 and wireless charging support.

The phone will go on sale from April 3 in China at for RMB 3299 (6GB+64GB), RMB 3599 (6GB+128GB), and RMB 3999 (8GB+256GB). Xiaomi will also bundle it’s RMB 99 7.5W Qi wireless charger with the top-end variant.

There’s no word as to when the phone will be launched in India but considering it’s predecessor is selling in India, the Mi Mix 2S will be here sooner or later.
