Xiaomi at an event in China revealed their latest flagship phone – the Mi Note 2. Taking a cue from Samsung’s dual-edge display, Xiaomi’s Mi Note 2 also boasts a dual-edge OLED display with an aluminum frame to connect the front and back curved glass seamlessly for an aesthetic look and a wider field of vision. Xiaomi claims the screen-to-body ratio is 77.2 percent and the 5.7-inch OLED Full HD display offers a 110 percent NTSC colour gamut and a contrast ratio of 100000:1.
As far as its performance prowess is concerned, the phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 2.35GHz processor, up to 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, global LTE band support and a huge 4070mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0. The phone also boasts a 22.56-megapixel f/2.0 Sony IMX318 sensor at the back with 4K video recording and EIS support, GPS with sensor-assisted positioning and full NFC functionality.
The phone will sell in China initially from November 1 at a price starting at RMB2799 for 4GB+64GB variant whereas 6GB+128GB China-specific model will sell for RMB3299 whereas the global 6GB+128GB model for RMB3499.
