Samsung has confirmed the arrival of its upcoming Galaxy Note smartphone. Come August 2, Samsung will reveal the new Galaxy Note, which interestingly, will be known as Galaxy Note7.
This is the first time Samsung has confirmed the name of the device before the launch and its most likely to explain the reason behind naming it Galaxy Note7 and not Galaxy Note6 – as it ideally should be.
Samsung says by calling it the Note7, they want to unify their product portfolio with the Galaxy S series and avoid confusion about the mobile technology it packs.
The Unpacked event will be held in New York whereas simultaneous events will take place in Rio De Janeiro and London.
Of course, It’s the first time happened that Samsung has confirmed the name of the device before the launch.
