Xiaomi unveils Mi 5 in India

Are you ready for the most affordable Snapdragon 820 device? Xiaomi certainly thinks we are, which is why they have announced the Mi 5 smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s latest chip for the Indian market. In fact, it is the first smartphone in India to come with the Snapdragon 820 processor and is priced at an attractive price tag of just Rs. 24,999.

This is the regular Mi 5 phone that comes with the latest Qualcomm SoC but features 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM unlike the Pro version that comes with 4GB ROM and 128GB internal memory. Nevertheless, the Mi 5 is packed with features like 16 megapixel camera, 5.2-inch Full HD display, USB Type-C support, 3000mAh battery, fingerprint sensor, MIUI 7 based on Android 6, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and more.

The phone will go on sale from April 6 on Mi.com.
