Xiaomi at an event today announced their latest Redmi device for the Indian market. The Redmi Note 3 will sit at the top of Xiaomi’s Redmi lineup but with a metal body and some decent hardware, the Redmi Note 3 will give other phones a run for their money in this price range.
Couple of firsts for Redmi Note 3 is the first Xiaomi device to have a fingerprint sensor and the first phone in India to have Snapdragon 650 processor. The SoC boasts a hexacore processor with two 1.8GHz CortexA72 and four 1.2GHz CortexA53 working in big.LITTLE architecture. As for the RAM and ROM, the phone comes in options of 2GB RAM and 16GB memory or 3GB RAM and 32GB memory.
Rest of the features include a 5.5inch Full HD 1920×1080 display, 5 band LTE support with VoLTE, MIUI 7, 16 megapixel f/2.0 main camera with PDAF auto focus, 5 megapixel f/2.0 front-
facing camera, hybrid SIM support and 4050mAh battery with QuickCharge support.
The Redmi Note 3 will go on sale from March 9 on Amazon India and Mi.com with the 2GB variant for Rs. 9,999. The 3GB variant will sell for Rs. 11,999.
Although Xiaomi has not confirmed the exact timeline but the phones will also sell on Flipkart, Snapdeal and offline partners in the coming weeks.
