After few launches in the entry level segment range, YU today announced their high-end phone labeled YUTOPIA. Along with the same, they also announced ‘Around YU’- a suite services rolled into one discovery window for the users. Talking of YUTOPIA, the phone packs a punch with 5.2inch WQHD IPS Display, Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB RAM, 21-megapixel rear camera, fingerprint scanner, Cyanogen OS 12.1 and Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 support.

YUTOPIA also comes with Around Yu – the new personal assistant that saves user time to switch between plethora of apps. The phone runs Cyanogen OS 12.1 (Android 5.1) and also supports 4K video recording.

YUTOPIA features a unibody metal design with aircraft grade aluminum body. Additionally, the YUTOPIA features an alert slider for quick access to custom notification settings, this alert slider can also silence the device with a simple click.

The phone will be available from 18th Dec on Amazon starting 2PM. Interestingly, the price of the phone is Rs.24999, which will make many of us think twice to invest in. To negate this price, YU is offering an ‘Assured Upgrade Program’ that gives customer buying YUTOPIA an option of an assured upgrade to YUTOPIA 2 when launched. There will be an upgrade window from YUTOPIA 2 launch date and will offer 40% cashback of value of YUTOPIA, if the customer decides to exchange YUTOPIA and upgrade to YUTOPIA 2.
