OnePlus today announced the pricing of its One smartphone (64GB) for the Indian market and they’ve priced it at a lucrative Rs. 21,999. The price is certainly the talking point because a similarly spec’d device will easily set you back by at least Rs. 30,000. The only gripe with the device is the buying mechanism, which requires users to have an invite to purchase it through its Indian retail partner, Amazon.in.
The phone is pretty solid with a 5.5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 801 2.5GHz quad-core processor, 3GB RAM, 16 or 64GB internal memory, 13 megeapixel camera and 3100mAh battery. Do note, the OnePlus One in India will run the global version of Cyanogen OS but it won’t be supported by Cyanogen considering their exclusive deal with Micromax. OnePlus however, has assured an easy way for users to update the device through kiosks and easy flashable files.
