Xiaomi, another China-based company had been teasing its arrival in the Indian market and today they’ve confirmed the price of the launch device. The Xiaomi Mi3 will carry a price tag of Rs. 14,999 and given the current competition, Mi3 seems to blow every device in that price range out of the water.
Xiaomi Mi3 boasts hardware similar to the Nexus 5 and at half the price gives a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 13 megapixel main camera with 5 megapixel front-facing camera, 5-inch Full HD IPS display, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 16GB internal memory and 3050mAh battery.
Couple of other things to note is that Mi3 uses mini SIM cards but apparently bundles a SIM adapter for micro/nano SIM card users and uses custom Android 4.3 that is optimised with MIUI v5.
Registration for the sale will begin on July 15.
