It was in July when LINE had announced its milestone of surpassing 200 million user mark and in just over 4 months, the messenger service has added 100 million more users taking the total number of users in excess of 300 million. LINE says although it has developed a strong foothold in East Asia, they’re working to increase their base in India as well as other countries like Turkey, France, Germany and Italy by conducting localised promotional activities and strengthening partnerships with local mobile network operators and device manufacturers.
In India, LINE had announced to have crossed 10 million users in October and is on track to double the base by end of 2013.
LINE Messenger is available for free across many platforms and offers messaging, calls and sticker service.
