True to their word, Google has started rolling out the Android 4.4 KitKat for some of its Nexus devices. The first devices to get the chocolate-filled update are the Nexus 7 (2012 and 2013 editions) and Nexus 10.
Google has promised to roll out the update for the Nexus 4 and the 3G or LTE variant of Nexus 7 soon.
Android 4.4 improves on a lot of fronts like memory management, voice search, faster multitasking, caller ID that scans through the database of Google Maps in case of an unknown caller, infrared port support, faster home screen switching, low-power audio playback, step counting etc.
