Sony introduces SmartWatch 2 with NFC

In addition to the Xperia Z Ultra, Sony also announced the SmartWatch 2 at the Mobile Asia Expo. Sony touts it as a second screen for Android smartphone that enhances existing functionality along with new features.

The SmartWatch 2 offers improved battery life, improved visibility and NFC connectivity for easier pairing. With SmartWatch 2, users will be able to receive calls, take a photo remotely, control presentations, map support, read emails and lots more. Furthermore, the watch is water resistant and is certified with IP57 standard.

The SmartWatch2 will be available from September 2013.
