If you were waiting for Huawei’s quad-core flagship phone to hit the market, I’m afraid you’ll have to wait for a while. Huawei has confirmed the phone’s in-house built quad-core chipset is facing some technical issues and has resulted in a delay of the device, most likely till August.
This does not bode well for the Chinese phone maker as the company is fighting hard to earn its place in the top smartphone makers list.
Ascend D Quad uses Huawei’s K3V2 quad-core 1.2/1.5GHz CPU that promises about 30 percent in energy savings and features Android 4.0 OS, 4.5-inch 720p high-definition display, 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with backside illumination (BSI), 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, 1080p full HD video capture and playback and 1800mAh battery.
