Unlocked iPhone coming in November

The preorders for the iPhone 4S has already begun. However, this time Apple is releasing the unlocked version of the phone to be used with carrier of your choice. Although the iPhone 4S is a world phone, that is, both GSM and CDMA, the unlocked version will only work with the GSM carriers. Thus while traveling abroad, you can pop in a local microSIM and enjoy cheaper calling rates with the new iPhone 4S.

The unlocked iPhone 4S is available in black and white and is priced at $649 for 16GB, $749 for 32GB and $849 for 64GB. This is an interesting move by Apple as the unlocked version of the iPhone 4 was released much later. This will surely increase the sales of the new iPhone 4S as Apple fanboys outside US will bother their relatives and friends to get one for them.
