Taiwan’s ITRI (Industrial Technology Research Institute) has developed a flexible AMOLED display that can easily be termed as the world’s thinnest flexible display. The display is just 0.1mm thick and can display images even when the display is folded. ITRI says the display has a folding radius of 5cm or less and can be rolled without any issues up to 15,000 times.
The display makes use of FlexUPD technology due to its adhesive and non-adhesive bonding. ITRI claims the technology is the simplest and the cheapest to mass produce paper-like displays.
