So you think Apple’s Retina Display is the ultimate screen for a device? Well, Ortus Tech from Japan thinks otherwise. They’ve developed the world’s first 4.8-inch display that supports full HD (1920×1080) resolution. The new display uses company’s HAST (Hyper-amorphous silicon TFT) technology and is able to show 458 pixels per inch (PPI) which frankly is quite high for a user to experience from a naked eye.
Other technical details of the LCD include a viewing angle of 160 degrees, 16.7m color support and a color gamut of 72%.
The display panel will be on showcase in Munich, Germany from November 9 to November 12.
