UPDATE: Recall details for Indian Nokia consumers added here.
Nokia today announced an exchange program of mobile handset chargers due to the possibility of a shock hazard. The faulty BYD-made Nokia chargers’ plastic cover become loose and separate, exposing the internal components and thus exposing to a shock when plugged in a live socket.
The affected models, AC-3U and AC-3E were sold from between June 15, 2009 and August 9, 2009 whereas AC-4U model was sold from April 13, 2009 to October 25, 2009.
Users with the aforementioned models are requested to stop using the chargers immediately and ask for a free replacement. You can go to the site below for more info.
