Free Map Navigation comes for Android 2.0, courtesy Google

Google has dropped a big bomb on PND manufacturers and service providers today by announcing Google Maps Navigation. Although it’s restricted to Android 2.0 for now, the software is a clear indication that dedicated GPS devices are in danger. Created from ground up, Google Maps Navigation works just like your PND on the phone but does not charge a single penny.

User gets free turn-by-turn navigation, voice guidance, Street/Satellite view, automatic rerouting, route caching, voice search and more. Check out the video below demonstrating all its cool features.
