Canon outs four Powershot digital cameras

Canon also introduced four new cameras in the prosumer category. First is the E1 digital camera which is the very first camera in the new Powershot E-Series. It is funky looking point-and-shoot camera aimed at teenager and the likes. The camera sports a 10 megapixel lens with 4X optical zoom and DIGIC III imaging processor. Other features include a 2.5” LCD, Image stabilizer, face detection and 17 different shooting modes. E1 digicam will be available from mid-September at $200.

Next series to be updated was the Powershot A-series with A1000 IS and A2000 IS. Both these cameras are similar in features like 10MP sensor, DIGIC III onboard, Red Eye correction, image stabilization barring the screen size and optical zoom. The screen size stands at 2.5” and 3” and optical zoom at 4X and 6X respectively. Both are scheduled to come in September at a price of $200 and $250 respectively.

Canon Powershot SX110 IS

Finally the SX110 IS makes way for more optical zoom (up to 10X) on its 9 megapixel sensor. It also has a 3” screen, DIGIC III processor, image stabilizer, face & motion detection and red eye correction technology. The SX110 IS will be available at retail stores in a few days time at a price of $300.
