Split Keyboard reveals laptop’s second screen

I was gazing at the picture of this laptop and asked myself “Who will buy this?”. There’s a market for anything and everything said an entrepreneur sitting beside me. And I have to agree with him because the split keyboard laptop will also find takers if companies or atleast some company adopt the new styling. Scheduled to ship from this year only as an OEM unit, the ergonomically designed keyboard can split into two to unveil a small LCD hidden beneath. It acts as a secondary display for the notebook and is touch sensitive so that artists can etch out drawings on it or the bored souls can play a game of Solitaire.

UMPC/netbook displays are small so a second screen is great.

Typing on a netbook is an ergonomic hell so splitting the keyboard is great.

It should have a touchscreen on the bottom right rather than a trackball though.

I would buy it as is for the right price. If they would redesign it as some to not look outdated it would sell better.

I would use it for writing in coffee shops. Having a split screen would come in handy for referencing one thing while editing another.
