Apple’s online music store iTunes which has the largest share in the online music market will have to face a serious competition from its rival RealNetworks. RealNetworks, on Tuesday announced that they will be launching the biggest music sale in history. This sale will run for three weeks.
RealNetworks will offer the users to download a single song for just 49 cents and most albums for $4.99 as compared to Apple’s iTunes who currently charge 99 cents and $9.99 respectively. iPod users can play the songs downloaded from RealNetworks using Real’s Harmony Technology.
