Sony will be launching a standard and a high-end version of the PS4 next month, reports Wall Street Journal. One variant is expected to be slimmer and power efficient whereas the other one is expected to be slightly powerful than the current and the to-be slimmer variant. While the specifications of the new PS4 remain unclear, it is said that the new PS4 will support 4K and better processing power to support PS VR.
A press conference is scheduled to be held on September 7 at the PlayStation Theater in New York. Sony will disclose the business related to the PlayStation during this time.
The PlayStation 4 console was first launched in 2013 and more than 40 million units have sold so far globally.
