Microsoft to launch new new phones, tablet on Oct 6

Microsoft has started sending out invites to the press for an event scheduled for October 6. The event will be held in New York and according to The Verge, the event will be all about Windows 10 hardware like Surface Pro 4, Lumia 950 / Lumia 950 XL smartphones and a new Microsoft Band.

Although Windows 10 is available for laptops, tablets and PCs, Microsoft is yet to roll out for smartphones, which will hopefully change after the announcement of its two flagship devices.

As for Surface Pro 4, the device is rumoured to have an improved display size and resolution, better ergonomics, battery life and a fingerprint scanner.
