Microsoft is steadily expanding its Windows Phone lineup and the latest to join are the Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL. Although belonging to the same nomenclature, both devices have few things that sets them apart. First and foremost is the display, which is a 5-inch 1280×720 pixel display on the Lumia 640 whereas the 640XL features a 5.7-inch with the same resolution. The battery is at 2500mAh in the Lumia 640 but the Lumia 640 XL boasts a higher 3000mAh capacity. The last thing that is different is the camera, which is 8 megapixel and 1 megapixel camera on the Lumia 640 and 13 megapixel and 5 megapixel on the bigger variant.
As for the common features, both phones run Windows 8.1, are powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory, microSD card slot and 30GB of free OneDrive storage.
For a limited time, Microsoft is also giving 1TB of OneDrive storage and a year of Office 365.
The Lumia 640 will sell on Flipkart for Rs. 11,999 but the Lumia 640 XL will be available for Rs. 15,799 along with cash back offers from Mobikwik and Olacabs.
