Corning’s Gorilla Glass advanced a generation today and is understandably more durable than before. Compared to an aluminosilicate glass, the new Gorilla Glass 4 is said to be two times stronger with improved damaged resistance.
Corning says the glass has been worked upon to address the screen breakage issue a regular consumer faces and claims that it survives 80 percent of the time during a fall.
Corning uses its proprietary fusion draw process that allows the glass to maintain the thinness, durability and clarity while improving the overall durability.
