Qualcomm has expanded the Snapdragon lineup with the new Snapdragon 210 and Snapdragon 208 application processors. The new Snapdragon 210 aims to bring multimode 3G/4G LTE connectivity to affordable smartphones along with Dual SIM support.
Furthermore, Snapdragon 210 supports Full HD playback, HEVC codec support, Adreno 304 graphics, up to 1.1GHz clock speed, Quick charge 2.0 that enables up to 75 percent faster battery charging and an 8 megapixel camera along with enhanced camera features like Zero Shutter Lag, high dynamic range (HDR), autofocus, auto white balance and auto exposure.
The Snapdragon 208 on the other hand is the 3G-only variant of Snapdragon 210 with a few compromises like up to 1.1GHz dual-core support, 5 megapixel camera, up to qHD display and 720p video recording and playback support.
Qualcomm also introduced LTE-equipped tablet reference designs based on Snapdragon 410 and 210 processors, enabling OEMs and ODMs to bring Snapdragon-powered tablets faster to the market.
