Microsoft confirmed the details on the next major update coming to Windows Phone 8. The Windows Phone 8 aka GDR3 brings in interesting new features that will be delivered to existing devices later this year.
The biggest change comes in terms of hardware support, which will now support Full HD 1080p displays with screen size up to 6-inches and Qualcomm 800 quad-core processor. On the software-side, there will be more room to pin apps and people on the start screen, driving mode that will limit notifications on the lock screen, improved connectivity, internet sharing, better accessibility and storage management.
Microsoft is setting up the stage for Nokia’s Lumia 1520 that is expected to be unveiled on October 22 in Abu Dhabi.
