Apple just announced a list of new countries that will get their iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c. Starting October 25, 35 countries including Russia, Italy, Spain will receive the colourful iPhone 5c and the fingerprint sensor loaded iPhone 5s. What is more interesting for us is the release date for the Indian market.
Both the devices will be available in India from November 1 in addition to other markets like Mexico, UAE, Malaysia.
There’s no word on the exact price for now but we’ll update as soon as we hear from Apple.
To rehash, the iPhone 5c is basically an iPhone 5 but swaps the metallic shell for a polycarbonate body with a steel reinforced frame. Internally, the iPhone 5c is powered by the Apple A6 processor, 4-inch Retina Display, 8MP iSight camera, improved FaceTime camera, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and up to 10 hours of talk time on 3G.
The iPhone 5s features the new Apple A7 processor along with support for 64-bit desktop-class architecture and support for Touch ID, which is a fingerprint sensor on the home button. Apple claims, the fingerprint information is encrypted and stored securely in a Secure Enclave inside the A7 chip and is never stored on Apple servers or backed up to iCloud.
The new A7 chip supports OpenGL ES 3.0 for improved gaming, M7 motion coprocessor to track motion data, new 8MP iSight camera with f2.2 aperture and larger sensor with new Burst Mode, Slo-Mo video with 120 fps and a new FaceTime HD camera for better low-light performance. iPhone 5s also supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and 10 hours of battery life.
