Valve just announced a new operating system that will enable users to play games from their Steam library on a larger screen like the TV. The free operating system known as SteamOS is built on Linux and promises gaming experience designed for the big screen.
Valve claims they’ve worked on the SteamOS to increase graphics performance and are even working to improve audio performance and reduce latency.
Furthermore, the SteamOS and the Steam client will add features like in-home streaming that will stream games, music, video from the Windows and Mac OS to the SteamOS, family sharing and lots more.
