Earlier this month, Apple announced to make its iWork suite free for new iOS devices and now Google is trying to one up by freeing the Quickoffice suite. Google bought Quickoffice last year and though they were offering the office suite free to Google Apps subscribers, they’ve now made it free for everyone.
The app is now available for free on both Android and iOS that will allow users to edit Microsoft Office documents and even have the ability to create zip folders. Google is also enticing users with 10GB of extra Google Drive storage for next two years if you sign in the Quickoffice office by September 26.
