Sony just announced their oft-rumoured Xperia Z1 at the IFA. Sony prides the Xperia Z range to be waterproof and Xperia Z1 is no different. The Xperia Z1 features an OmniBalance design with tempered glass on the front and back, is waterproof and dust resistant and adheres to IP55 and IP58 standard.
The phone follows Xperia Z Ultra’s processor of choice, which is Snadragon 800 with 2.2GHz quad-core CPU, 4G LTE support, 2GB RAM, 5-inch full HD display, Android 4.2 OS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, FM Radio, 16GB internal memory with microSD card slot supporting up to 64GB and 3000mAh battery.
The most important part of Xperia Z1 is its 27mm wide angle f2.0 G lens that supports 1/2.3-type CMOS Exmor RS sensor, BIONZ imaging processor and can shoot images at up to 20.7MP resolution. The phone will support lens-style camera accessories like QX10/QX100.
Xperia Z1 will be available in black, white and purple colour options.
