LG recently teased their upcoming tablet in a video and now they’ve officially announced the G Pad that will be showcased at the IFA expo. LG says the G Pad builds on the G2 design and brings in decent software implementations along with powerful hardware.
Hardware-wise, G Pad 8.3 features an 8.3-inch WUXGA (1920×1200) display and powering the tablet is 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor and 2GB RAM. A 5MP rear-facing sensor handles the camera capabilities while a front-facing 1.3MP is apt for video calls.
The G Pad 8.3 also comes with 16GB internal memory, 4600mAh battery and colour options of black and white.
On the software side, the tablet will run Android 4.2.2 and will come with apps like QPair app where every call and message received on a smartphone will appear on the G Pad; Slide Aside that allows to multitask between apps using a three-finger swipe; QSlide is the same as previous LG high-end devices that enables to use three apps at the same time; KnockON that turns the device on or off by tapping the display twice.
LG G Pad 8.3 will be available in Q4 2013.
