While we’ll keep the debate of who would want a phone as large as Galaxy Mega 6.3 to some other day, the device will make a stop in USA later this week, covering the North American region. Samsung had announced the device for the Canadian market earlier this month.
Despite the large 6.3-inch 720p display, the phone packs some decent hardware like a 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 1.5GB RAM, LTE, 8MP main camera with 1.9MP front-facing camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC, microSD card slot and 3200mAh battery.
The device does look like Galaxy S4 – albeit bigger in size and borrows some features like Air View, Multi Window, WatchON, S Translator, S Travel etc. The Galaxy Mega 6.3 is also certified with SAFE, which is Samsung’s approval for using in an enterprise environment.
AT&T will release the device on August 23 for $149.99 on a contract but there’s no info from U.S. Cellular or Sprint except that they’ll launch “later this year.”
