At the event today, Google formally announced the Android 4.3 OS. The update as you’d expect is an incremental one that brings lots of improvements under the hood with few changes on the surface. Google has expanded its Multi-User feature with Restricted Profile that restricts the secondary user to purchase anything and control what the restricted user can see or use.
Bluetooth Smart aka Bluetooth Low Energy has also got an inclusion in the Android 4.3 that will pave way for more wearable gadgets. There’s OpenGL ES 3.0 for improved graphics performance, easier text-input, DRM APIs, dial-pad autocomplete and additional languages support.
All Nexus devices including Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 will receive the Android 4.3 update starting today while the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition will be available at a later date.
