LG has maintained its Optimus brand for Android devices for quite some time but now the company has announced their new vision and it includes parting ways with its Optimus brand, at least for its premium devices. To begin, the upcoming flagship phone that is expected in early August will be known as LG G2. Although G2 has been leaked in the past few days, the only confirmed feature from LG seems to be the Snapdragon 800 processor and most likely a slim 5.5-inch full HD display.
Additionally, LG’s 4:3 smartphones, better known as Optimus Vu will now be known just as Vu.
Our vision is to make LG’s newest G devices synonymous with excellence, raising the bar even further for the ultimate in user experience. The new G2 will build upon the excellent reputation established by previous G Series products.
