Following the success of its Galaxy Tab 2 range in India, Samsung today unveiled the successor Galaxy Tab 3 models with a 7-inch and an 8-inch. The 7-inch Galaxy Tab is identified as Galaxy Tab 3 211 while the 8-inch model has two variants – Wi-Fi-only and 3G and are known as Galaxy Tab 3 310 and Galaxy Tab 3 311 respectively.
The 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3 (3G) is priced at Rs. 17,745 and comes with a 1024×600 WSVGA resolution display. Powering the Android 4.1 running tablet is Marvell’s 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory and microSD card slot. Moreover, you’d find 3-megapixel rear camera and 1.3 -megapixel front camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, My Services app, Pop up Play and 4000mAh battery.
The 8-inch Galaxy Tab 3 brings in an 8-inch display with better WXGA 1280×800 resolution, 1.5GHz dual-core Exynos processor, 1.5GB RAM, Wi-Fi, 5MP and 1.9MP cameras, Bluetooth, GPS, microSD card slot, 16GB internal memory, 4450mAh battery and software enhancements like Multi-window, Pop up Play, Reading mode, Smart Stay.
The 3G Galaxy Tab 3 311 will sell for Rs. 25,725 while the Wi-Fi Galaxy Tab 3 310 will go for Rs. 21,945.
Samsung has also teamed up with Vodafone where the operator will bundle 2GB of 3G data for free for 2 months.
