Asus has launched their new Transformer device for the Indian market. The Transformer Book TX300 is touted as the world’s thinnest Windows 8 notebook and features a detachable keyboard. Asus says the notebook is inspired by its Zenbook laptop that boasts a full metal design with spun metal finish.
On the hardware side, Transformer Book features a 13.3-inch display full HD IPS touchscreen display, Windows 8 OS, 3rd generation Intel Core i5 processor and 4GB RAM. Additionally, the notebook is equipped with an integrated Intel graphics, 500GB HDD and 128GB SSD, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, rear-facing 5MP camera and front-facing HD camera, USB 3.0 ports, backlit keyboard and up to five hours of battery life when using it as a notebook or up to 8 hours while in tablet mode. Users can also get up to 8 hours of battery life while using it as a notebook with the Power Up! feature that disables the built-in HDD in the dock but keeps the keyboard and the trackpad active.
The Transformer Book TX300 will be available in the India from second week of this month at a price of Rs. 91,999.
