Sony at the Mobile Asia Expo in Shanghai revealed their latest product from the Xperia Z range. It’s the Xperia Z Ultra that not only supersedes the Xperia Z but most smartphones available today in the market with its humongous display. Not to be outdone with Samsung’s Galaxy Note and Mega series, the Xperia Z Ultra features a 6.4-inch display that supports full HD resolution and BRAVIA engine. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2GHz, 2GB RAM and comes with an 8 megapixel camera, microSD card slot with 16GB of internal memory, 3000mAh battery and Android 4.2.
Speaking of dimensions, the Xperia Z Ultra is just 6.5mm thin and weighs just 212g. Additionally, just like the previous Xperia Z device, this one’s waterproof as well and is certified with IP58 standard.
The device is expected in Q3 of this year in black, white and purple colour options.
