Asus at an event in Mumbai today unveiled their latest all-in-one PC – the Transformer AiO. On first glance, it looks like another run-of-the-mill AIO PC but it can transform into an 18.4-inch (1920×1080) tablet that you can use anywhere in your office or home. Another interesting feature of this PC-tablet hybrid is that it runs Windows 8 but features a dedicated button to switch between a full-fledged Windows OS and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
The Windows 8 use is handled by Transformer AiO’s PC station that packs in some decent hardware like 3rd generation Intel Core processors, up to 4GB of RAM, 1TB HDD and Nvidia’s GeForce GT730M 2GB handling the graphics duty.
However, if you start using the device with the Android OS, the PC will make use of the Nvidia Tegra 3 SoC that is integrated into the device and features 2GB RAM along with Wi-Fi, microSD card slot, Bluetooth 3.0, mini-USB 2.0 port and battery rated to give up to 5 hours of run time.
Furthermore, the PC station is also equipped with additional ports like Wi-Fi, Ethernet, 4 USB 3.0 ports and 1 USB 2.0 port, HDMI-out, 3-in-1 card reader and Bluetooth 4.0.
The Core i3 model is priced at Rs. 86,999 whereas the Core i5 variant will sell for Rs. 92,999.
