BlackBerry did take a lot of flak when they revealed the Z10 pricing in India last week but it seems all’s good for the Canadian phone maker. According to BlackBerry CEO, Thorsten Heins, BlackBerry India sold their five days’ worth of inventory in just two days.
I got an emergency call from my manager from India saying, ‘I’m sold out after two days.’ So now we’re scrambling to reload those channels.
BlackBerry launched the Z10 in India for Rs. 43,490 but was heavily criticised by consumers for pricing it too high.
However, good news is that India will soon get lesser expensive devices from BlackBerry running the latest operating system. Heins did not divulge any more details on the upcoming handsets but did confirm that they will be out later this year.
