Seagate has announced their new network-attached storage solution (NAS) – Seagate Central for the Indian market. Nominated as CES 2013 Innovation Honouree, the Seagate Central is available in India in capacities from 2TB and going up to 4TB and allows users to automatically backup content. Moreover, the Seagate Central supports a mix of Windows and Mac OS environment and even supports backing up of content from Facebook, which was limited only to the Backup Plus line.
Seagate Central is DLNA certified, works with Apple AirPlay and allows accessing of content from any part of the globe via a web browser or through free apps available for Samsung Smart TVs, iOS, Android, Amazon Kindle HD.
The 2TB variant will sell for Rs. 10,500, 3TB for 14,400 and 4TB for 17,700.
