BlackBerry won’t sell smartphones in Japan

BlackBerry’s flailing market share have made the Canadian company to withdraw from the Japanese market. BlackBerry has confirmed that they won’t sell any new devices in Japan, which means BlackBerry 10 is a no-go for the world’s advanced telecom market. But if you’re an existing user, BlackBerry won’t leave you in a lurch as they’ve promised to support existing users.

Japan is not a major market for BlackBerry, and we have no plans to launch BlackBerry 10 devices there at this time. However, we will continue to support BlackBerry customers in Japan.

BlackBerry recently announced the BlackBerry 10 and is trying to revive its market share in key markets.
