The rumoured Xperia Tablet Z is now a reality. Announced this morning in Japan, the tablet adopts a similar design as the Xperia Z smartphone and packs some meaty hardware. The 6.9mm thin Xperia Tablet Z features a waterproof and a dustproof chassis and the highlight of the device is its 10.1-inch display with Mobile Bravia Engine 2 that supports a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels, which is less than the Nexus 10 but more than most of the tablets available in the market.
Rounding up the feature set is the 1.5GHz quad-core APQ8064 Qualcomm processor, 2GB RAM, 8.1MP camera with Exmor R lens, 32GB internal storage NFC, LTE microSD card slot, 6,000mAh battery and Sony’s S-Force technology for audio processing.
