Intel has confirmed its current CEO and company president, Paul Otellini will leave the company in May 2013. The retirement will happen at the company’s annual general meeting, ending Otellini’s 8 year’s stint as CEO and a four-decade at Intel.
Intel also confirmed to start the process to choose Otellini’s successor (both internally and externally) and promot three Intel execs to vice president position, namely Renee James, head of Intel’s software business; Brian Krzanich, chief operating officer and head of worldwide manufacturing; and Stacy Smith, chief financial officer and director of corporate strategy.
