Sony has confirmed that its PS3 console has surpassed sales of 70 million units globally. This is a good number considering Sony’s console was a year late to the ‘next-generation gaming console’ party compared to Microsoft’s Xbox 360.
Sony’s PS3 has gone through a lot of iterations, making the hardware slimmer and more power efficient and adding new features via software updates.
In comparison, Sony’s console is going head to head with Xbox 360, which was confirmed to surpass 70 million units in the recent financial result.
